A2.1.  PROPER LEGAL PROTECTION FOR “WHISTLE BLOWERS” WHO EXPOSE OR TRY TO EXPOSE CORPORATE WRONGDOING.

The comments in this section apply to the NCR and everywhere else in Canada.

Why in Canada do we insist on making life difficult at every turn, in terms of employment for “whistleblowers”, for all the wrong reasons?

Something else is also involved: the use of “Gangster Politics” as a means of suppressing the truth and generating excuses to make someone appear “wrong” just because of conflicts with popular but mis-informed opinion, coupled with refusal to acknowledge certain facts and analysis that the attackers involved happen to find “inconvenient”.  In politics this involves dominance by winning votes at the expense of other political parties, based on bad and/or incomplete information coupled with wrong analysis, “attack ads” and so on .

In other situations, for instance in workplaces, it can involve the use of office politics, lying and “mobbing” in order to destroy the lives of subordinates or people out of work.

A key factor supporting this type of behaviour is snobbery based on money to pay lawyers and bureaucrats in order to waste time and obfuscate and issue SLAPP-type lawsuits alleging “libel” - to cover up for someone who has essentially unlimited money to feed to lawyers and bureaucrats for such purposes.

Examples of people affected are:  Evan Vokes, Joanna Gualtieri, Sylvie Therrien, Dr. Chander Grover.

One case like this, not as yet reported on fairwhistleblower.ca, has an additional dimension: continual cover up of SNC-Lavalin Inc.  wrongdoing connected with a wrongful dismissal case.

Fairwhistleblower.ca cannot report it because it has not been investigated by the mainstream media. Over the years since this started in 1983, part of the problem has been mainstream media bias based on popular social prejudices and obsession with “political correctness” concerning SNC-Lavalin Inc.

This problem has been compounded by imagined or actual threats of SLAPP type lawsuits from SNC-Lavalin inc. them alleging “libel”.

Yet there have been over 50 reports, from about early 2011 onwards, on fairwhistleblower.ca about SNC-Lavalin Inc. and their bribery /improper payments to Libyan officials. Example: a bribe of $160 million paid to Saadi Gadhafi to help SNC-Lavalin Inc. get a contract to design and build a new prison in Libya for the (now-defunct and discredited) Libyan dictatorship under the late Col. Moammar Gadhafi.

In late 2013 the “South Asia Mail” published an article about SNC-Lavalin Inc.  wrongdoing connected with a wrongful dismissal case on their website. The version shown at:-

 - is identical to the one shown on the “South Asia Mail” website, but includes embedded links to the supporting documents. So far it has been not taken up by anyone in the mainstream Canadian media – therefore, as yet, there is no mention of it on fairwhistleblower.ca. Nor have SNC-Lavalin Inc. registered any complaint so far – assuming that they even know about it.

Lack of action to expose this sort of thing - and expunge the corruption in business involved - serves merely to enforce the defeatism and defeatist attitudes already referred to that the current Canadian Prime Minister - Stephen Harper - objects to. It also works against the “hope and hard work” philosophy advocated by Liberal Party leader Justin Trudeau.
